About Us
Maine Dental Boutique caters to clients with busy lifestyles and who value prompt, efficient service and short-notice booking options.
Your Initial Visit will include a Dentist Exam and updated digital x-rays. Dental Cleanings are done either at this visit or at a later visit depending on availability.
Our patients appreciate our spa-like atmosphere and enjoy getting in and out in a timely manner.

Kimberly Fichthorn, RDH, IPDH
Kim opened the Maine Dental Boutique in downtown Winthrop in 2018. She has over 30 years of experience in the Dental Field. She started her education at the University of Oklahoma and then transferred to a study abroad program at the University of Maryland in Germany. While living there, she traveled to over 28 countries. She got the opportunity to work during college breaks at the Heidelberg Army Dental Office. This is where she fell in love with dentistry and wanted to pursue a degree in Dental Hygiene. She moved back to Texas to finish her Dental Hygiene Degree. After graduating college, she moved to Honolulu and worked at the Pearl Harbor Navy Dental Clinic for a year and then moved to Austin Texas and worked in a private dental practice for 20 years. She met and married a Mainer in Austin during that time. That is how a Texan ends up in Maine, she jokes. She and her husband Ross and their three kids moved to Maine in 2017.
She has worked as a Dental Hygienist in many settings, both in general and periodontal offices. She specializes in deep cleanings, root planing, & continued periodontal maintenance care.
She has been trained by some amazing Periodontists. She shares a passion in educating and treating periodontal patients. Besides working in Perio, she has experience providing routine dental cleanings for kids and adults. She takes the time to educate patients about their oral health. Her practice has all the modern equipment to include digital x-rays, intra-oral cameras, and ultra-sonic dental equipment.
In her free time, she enjoys watching her kids' sporting events and exploring Maine.
Dr. Jordan Hicks, DDs
Dr. Jordan Hicks joined our practice in July 2025 and is a graduate of Scarborough High School. He moved to upstate New York, where he obtained a degree in Biology from Binghamton University. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and has since that time called Brunswick home.
Dr. Hicks also believes in painless dentistry. Therefore, while performing such common dental procedures as fillings, crowns, and extractions, it is his belief and mission that dentistry should hardly, if ever, be felt.
In his time since dental school, Dr. Hicks took various continuing education courses in areas such as dental implant placement, occlusion, and Invisalign®. Through his choice of the aforementioned courses, he takes great pleasure in being able to educate patients on all things dentistry, even if he is unable to provide you with the required care himself. In his spare time, Dr. Hicks enjoys such leisurely activities as reading, traveling, and trying anything that is new and delicious, and may coincidentally be described as food. When he elects to be active, basketball is his first love, but you might also find Dr. Hicks plays tennis in the summer and skiing in the winter. Interesting fact about Dr. Hicks: he has jumped out of a plane before—and lived—to be your dentist.
Dr. Hena Patel, dmd
Dr. Hena Patel is a Florida native, graduating from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Science. She then went on to the University of New England’s College of Dental Medicine where she obtained her Doctorate of Dental Medicine. During dental school, she was part of a scholarship program that focused on rural healthcare in the state of Maine. Dr. Patel is currently on the Board of Directors for the Maine Dental Association, representing Central Maine. She is a member of her local study clubs, the American Dental Association, and the Androscoggin Dental Society. Public health is a large part of what makes Dr. Patel passionate about dentistry. She volunteers as a dental provider at the Oasis Free Dental Clinics in Brunswick whenever possible. Dr. Patel enjoys practicing dentistry because of the relationship she can build with her patients and change the way they think about dentistry, while improving their oral health. She provides patient centered and empathetic care, and truly enjoys helping patients overcome dental anxiety.
In her free time, Dr. Patel is a complete foodie and loves to try new foods and cook new recipes. She also enjoys being outdoors and exploring new places, which is why she chose to settle in this gorgeous state.
Lindsey Streams, RDH, IPDH
Lindsey joined our practice in October 2021, she is here to assist in getting all our patients up to date on their recare visits. Lindsey is a Registered Dental Hygienist from Winthrop with over 9 years of experience. She enjoys camping with her husband and her little girl Helaina.
She can't wait to meet you and help in improving your oral health. Lindsey will make your dental visit easy and stress-free.
Julia, Dental Receptionist
Julia joined our practice in September 2024. She will usually be the first point of contact in scheduling your first visit with us and helping you navigate through your dental insurance plans. She is a Winthrop native and has a desire to continue her education in becoming a dental hygienist in the future.
Johnnie, Office Manager
Johnnie joined our practice in 2021. She retired as a Registered Nurse after working in the field for over 40 years and was eager to try the dental field. She has lived in some exciting areas to include Germany, Italy, and Hawaii. Johnnie can help with your insurance questions and scheduling.
Miranda, RDA
Miranda was born and raised in central Maine. Miranda is currently working as a dental assistant but is a dental hygiene student at UMA. She will graduate May 2025. Miranda is passionate about oral health and hopes to make dental visits anxiety free. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing tennis and pickleball, and baking.
